Heavy/Irregular Menstrual Bleeding

Diagnosis and management of heavy/irregular menstrual bleeding due to anovulation or bleeding disorders.

Dysmenorrhea and Chronic Pelvic Pain

Management of dysmenorrhea and chronic pelvic pain, including endometriosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, and complex pain in the setting of amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome (AMPS) and other disorders.

Menstrual Education

Menstrual education and management, including menstrual suppression for adolescent girls and young adults with special needs.

Menstrual Management

Menstrual management and contraception for adolescents and young adults with complex medical conditions, including complex cardiac defects, seizure disorders, rheumatologic disorders, renal failure and transplant patients, sickle cell disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and .vertebral defects, anal atresia, cardiac defects, tracheoesophageal fistula, renal anomalies, and limb abnormalities (VACTERL).

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)

Management of adolescents with PCOS /hyperandrogenism/hirsutism.

Premature Ovarian Insufficiency

Care of patients with premature ovarian insufficiency, including pubertal induction for patients with ovarian dysgenesis, Turner syndrome, and patients who have ovarian insufficiency due to cancer treatment.

Pubertal Disorders

Diagnosis and management of pubertal disorders, including precocious and delayed puberty.

Vulvar Disorders

Diagnosis and management of vulvar disorders, including lichen sclerosus, chronic vaginitis, and vulvodynia.

Benign Adnexal Cysts/Masses

Management of benign adnexal cysts/masses, including teratomas.

Differences of Sexual Differentiation (DSD)

Evaluation and management of differences of sexual differentiation (DSD) aka intersex, and Müllerian anomalies.

Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma-informed care for survivors of adverse childhood experiences, including childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault, as well as management of pelvic pain and high-risk behaviors.

Adolescent Transgender Patients

Care of adolescent transgender patients.

Contraception and Screening

Confidential and comprehensive management of contraception/sexually transmitted infection screening/dyspareunia.

Meet our Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist

Dr. Judith Simms-Cendan areas of expertise include pediatric gynecology, puberty and menstrual disorders in adolescents, and pediatric and adolescent gynecologic surgery. She is co-directing a combined pediatric hematology/gynecology clinic for girls with heavy menses, the only one in South Florida.

Our Location

Your initial appointment will be scheduled at the gynecologist’s office, for any necessary inpatient services, you’ll be referred to Holtz Children’s Hospital.
