Pediatric Orthopedics
Our experienced orthopedic specialists at Holtz Children’s Hospital provide personalized care to children and adolescents.
Many children and adolescents need specialized orthopedic care for broken bones, severe sprains and other injuries, as well as corrective treatments for problems of the spine, legs, feet or joints. Our goal is to help your child recover and return to his or her favorite activities whenever possible.
Surgical and nonoperative care is available for children (age 16 years or less) who have orthopedic problems.
Our specialists use minimally invasive technology for many types of procedures, reducing scarring and accelerating recovery time. In many cases, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medications or other types of treatment are beneficial in helping young patients regain their strength, flexibility and range of motion.
Our pediatric orthopedic specialties include:
- Scoliosis/spine deformities
- Fractures or sprains
- Bone or joint infections
- Foot deformities
- Neuromuscular problems/cerebral palsy
- Leg length discrepancy/limb lengthening
- Limb deformities/bowlegs
- Overuse/sports injuries
- Hip problems
- Congenital deformities
- Amputations
- Metabolic conditions
- Benign tumors
- Growth plate damage
