Meet Dr. Brian Grottkau

Chief of pediatric orthopedics and surgical services at Holtz Children’s Hospital, and professor of orthopedics and Shriners Children’s endowed chair in pediatric orthopedics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine

Dr. Grottkau specializes in various areas of pediatric orthopedics, with a focus on scoliosis, pediatric spine surgery, and a wide range of bone and muscle disorders in children. He co-developed a groundbreaking surgery called anterior vertebral body tethering, which helps children with scoliosis regain normal spinal function.
