Pediatric Intestinal Rehabilitation
Helping children absorb nutrients and grow stronger.
Our intestinal rehabilitation center helps children whose bodies can’t absorb enough nutrients. This is called intestinal failure, most often caused by short bowel syndrome.
Our goal is to restore as much digestive function as possible to minimize or eliminate the need for long-term IV nutrition.
What’s Intestinal Failure?
This happens when the intestines can’t absorb enough nutrients for growth.
Causes may include:
- Short bowel syndrome
- Conditions at birth
- Surgery that removed part of the bowel
- Severe digestive problems, including motility disorders (problems with how food moves through the gut)
Some children need IV nutrition, called parenteral nutrition.

Our Approach

Care might include:
- Specialized nutrition plans
