Jackson Community Mental Health Center, founded in 2003, is a Joint Commission-accredited, community-based, multi-service facility that provides comprehensive behavioral and substance-related healthcare services for adults and children in the north and northwestern sections of Miami-Dade County.
Jackson Community Mental Health Center provides services to children, adolescents, and adults. This broad service capability allows us to meet the needs of the entire family, and to provide a continuum of care across the lifespan of the individual.

Adult Outpatient Services
Jackson Community Mental Health Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care services to adults 18 and above who are experiencing difficulty due to behavioral, emotional, psychiatric, and/or relational issues. Common patient diagnoses include psychosis, PTSD, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and concurrent substance abuse. Services are also available to HIV-positive clients and their affected family members.
Jackson Community Mental Health Center offers comprehensive psychiatric/psychological diagnosis and treatment, individual, therapy, medication evaluation and management, therapeutic activities in individual and group settings, and targeted case management. Targeted case management provides an array of services such as advocacy, assessment, linkage, service planning, and monitoring services for eligible patients.
Adult outpatient services also includes access to the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program. TANF provides assessment, targeted case management, screening, and treatment services to individuals experiencing employment and familial instability. These services are also available to families living at or below the 200 percent poverty threshold, as defined by federal poverty guidelines.
Patients are seen by appointment 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday , excluding holidays.
Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a licensed 20-bed Baker Act receiving facility that provides psychiatric inpatient care for individuals 18 years and older. Individuals presenting to the CSU also receive behavioral health and/or substance-related emergency screening and assessment.
Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Detoxification Unit
The Detoxification Unit provides inpatient substance abuse detoxification for adults 18 years and older. Individuals presenting to the unit also receive mental health and/or substance-related emergency screening and assessment.
Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
