Outpatient Child and Adolescent Services

Child and Adolescent Center (CAC)

  • Comprehensive psychiatric and psychological diagnosis and treatment
  • Individual, group, and family psychotherapy
  • Medication evaluation and management
  • Psychological diagnostic testing
We provide outpatient services to children and adolescents ages 4 to 21, who are experiencing challenges in their lives ranging from major life stressors, to difficulty functioning at home or school, to more significant behavioral and/or emotional concerns. The family is an important component in treatment success as parents are viewed as partners and collaborators in the treatment of their children. We provide comprehensive psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy to treat mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and parent-child conflicts. We have a specialized developmental delay clinic to help medically manage these individuals. We also provide care for treatment resistant cases or cases that do not respond to standard treatments.

In-person and telehealth appointments are available.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A)

  • Individual DBT-A therapy
  • Family and parent DBT-A therapy
  • DBT-A skills group
  • Multifamily DBT-A skills group
  • 24-hour skills phone coaching
  • Medication evaluation and management
  • Graduate groups
An intensive evidence-based treatment program to help individuals and their families between the ages of 12 and 18 who struggle with self-harm, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, chronic depression, anxiety, impulsivity, interpersonal issues, eating disorders, substance abuse, and anger management.

The DBT-A program consists of five modules delivered through individual, family, parenting, and group therapies over the course of approximately one year designed to help teens cope with sudden, intense emotions, handle stress, improve relationships, and manage emotions. In-person and telehealth appointments are available.

Inpatient Child and Adolescent Services

Emergency, Intake, and Referral Center

Comprehensive assessment, treatment of immediate concerns, and admission to inpatient or referral to outpatient services as indicated. We serve all individuals and families who come for help. We are a Baker Act receiving facility.

Child and Adolescent Acute Psychiatric (CAAP) Unit

Specialty inpatient unit for children and adolescents, ages 5 to 17. While the brain is still developing, mental health treatment can be challenging. We teach kids and teens skills to manage their symptoms in a way they can understand. Programming is trauma-informed and individualized to the developmental level of those served. For patients in this 21-bed unit, family intervention is an integral part of treatment and discharge planning. Treatment is focused on symptom reduction and skills development.
